Airbag Recall Lawsuit

Brent Coon and Associate is investigating lawsuits involving possibly defective Takata Airbags. These defective Airbags have been been exploding when the airbag inflates causing serious injuries and in some cases death.

A metal canister that is then broken and cause metal shrapnel to shoot out by the force of inflation and these shrapnel cans then impact the passengers in the vehicles. These airbag defects have resulted in a number of serious injuries and in some cases deaths. These injuries and in some cases death, have occurred in more humid and warm areas such as California, Florida, Texas, Hawaii, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina. There have been airbag lawsuits filed and airbag class action status sought regarding Takata defective airbags.

There are reports that in more humid states, moisture can seep inside of the airbag and cause this issue. Even in minor accidents the sharpnel can cause serious and in some case deadly injuries. Even in the case of minor traffic accidents these airbags can explode and lead to deadly injuries. And despite the warning of humid areas, there have been reported airbag deaths in non humid states like Oklahoma and California. Plaintiff's state that Takata knew about these deadly defects as far back as 2001. An airbag lawsuit in California claims that Takata failed to fully investigate the airbag issue and issue proper recall notices in a timely manner. They are also airbag lawsuits that claim Takata and Honda failed to proper test these airbags. There are other reports that lawsuits are being filed for the diminished value of cars with Takata airbags.
